Peter is creative consultant for Music Preserved. Music Preserved is a charity with a large archive of historic performances. Music Preserved the record label will make these performances available (from April 2009) to buy as digital downloads from www.theclassicalshop.net and elsewhere. Nearly all the great names, the 'historic artists', in every genre are represented in the archive, many in considerable depth, with repertoire they never recorded commercially.
A prime rationale behind Music Preserved's work will be to make available performances that have never been available in any format, ever: by the likes of Maria Callas, Sir John Barbirolli and Carlo Maria Giulini.
